In an article by Joel Sherman of the New York Post, he mentions that several teams have called the Minnesota Twins about the availability of Francisco Liriano. One team that called was the New York Yankees.

Sherman says that the Yankees called in case they don’t manage to sign Cliff Lee.

The Twins are focused on upgrading the front of their rotation so it would be hard to imagine the team moving Liriano unless it led to another high-end starter.

The Twins would consider trading Kevin Slowey if they are able to re-sign Carl Pavano.
