According to T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com, the Texas Rangers have traded left-handed pitcher Zach Phillips to the Baltimore Orioles for infielder Nick Green and cash.

Phillips, 24, was 1-3 with a 4.43 ERA in 33 relief appearances for Triple-A Round Rock this season.

Green, 32, is a career .237/.305/.348 hitting in six Major League season.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun adds that the Orioles have designated Chorye Spoone for assignment to make room for Phillips.
