Here’s a running list of pitchers notes around the Major Leagues:

– Right handed pitcher Matt Garza is aware that he could be dealt before the July 31 Trade Deadline, but he’s not worried about that according to Alex Speier of WEEI.com. “I just want to keep playing. It doesn’t matter where. I’ll pitch on the freaking moon,” Garza said. “I love the city. My kids love the city. It would be a great place for them to grow up. But like I said, it’s out of my control.”

Garza, according to Speier, is curious about what his future holds and takes the trade rumors as compliments. “It’s just natural. It’s human nature. Everyone wonders. But the professional in me says keep going, just do your job,” he said. “When they stop asking for you, that’s not a good thing. As long as they keep asking for you, it means I’m doing my job. That’s what I’m going to keep doing.”

– Another Cubs starter that could be dealt before the trade deadline is veteran Ryan Dempster, and according to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun Times the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are interested in acquiring him. Rival executives view Dempster, according to Wittenmyer, as a “rent-a-player,” and that, with his strong performance this season teams may pull the trigger on him quick and with solid offers.

“If that’s the case, then I’d have to really consider it at that point,” said Dempster

– The Minnesota Twins placed right handed pitcher P.J. Walters on the 15 day Disabled List with a shoulder inflammation according to the Star Tribune.
