According to Jim Callis of Baseball America, the New York Yankees, Miami Marlins and Tampa Bay Rays have all signed their first round picks from the 2012 June Amateur draft.

The Yankees signed right handed pitcher Ty Hensley for $1.2 million. Callis says that Hensley “originally agreed to a $1.6 million bonus,” but when he took his physical “an MRI revealed an abnormality in his right shoulder.”

After rumors that the Marlins weren’t going to sign their first rounder Andrew Heaney, they agreed to a $2.6 million bonus according to Callis. He says that the lefty possesses the most polished arm in the entire draft.

The Rays signed their first round pick, Richie Shaffer for a $1,712,500 bonus Callis reports. The pick value is about $1.725 million. Callis adds that according to some directors, Shaffer is the best bat that participated in the draft.
