    The Baltimore Orioles have signed Matt Antonelli to a Major League contract, the team announced today.  The news was first reported by MLB.com’s Brittany Ghiroli via Twitter. The 26-year-old played 21 games for the Padres in 2008.  In 57 at-bats, he hit .193/.292/.281 with one home run and three RBI’s.

    One day after the San Diego Padres decided to non-tender infielder Matt Antonelli, the team has decided to sign him to a Minor League deal, according to Steve Adler of The Friarhood. The 25-year-old Antonelli last played on the big league club in 2008. In 65 plate appearances he hit .193/.292/.281.
