Yesterday the Tampa Bay Rays declined the options on right-handed pitcher Dan Wheeler and designated hitter/infielder Willy Aybar, according to The Tampa Tribune. Wheeler had a team option for $4 million and Aybar had a $2.2 million team option, but according to St. Petersburg Times’ Marc Topkin the Rays could end up keeping both players.
