In an article by Andy Martino of the New York Daily News he reports the New York Mets will likely wait until the new year before they add players to their roster.  And when that happens, which types of players will GM Sandy Alderson and the team go after? As you read this posting, it’s quite possible that it’s already out of date. Free agents have been moving quickly over the last few days, but if your favorite team has not made its move yet – don’t be down in the dumps.  There are several good free agents left.  Here’s a list of some [...]

We’re about two days away from the August 31st deadline to set post season rosters, and while many teams are already making winter vacation plans, the Texas Rangers are continuing to work the phones. Here’s the latest from FOXSports’ Ken Rosenthal via his Full Count Video: The addition of relief pitcher Brian Fuentes to the Minnesota Twins’ bullpen via trade from the Los Angeles Angels adds almost $2 million more to the Twins’ payroll, but it could be well worth it. Fuentes gives the Twins another closing option, but he [...]

“I’ve never floated his name,” General Manager Ned Colletti said about Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp. “He’s a gifted, five-tool player. He’s getting better and better. He’s had a tough couple of months. It’s a baseball career. It’s not a baseball two months. “I have no intention of moving him.” Bill Shaikin of [...]

Is it possible that Matt Kemp who many expected to only get better has digressed in his development because he is being distracted? Maybe it’s Rihanna or maybe it’s the “Other” stuff that goes along with dating a mega star like her. Whatever the case is, Kemp is in the midst of [...]
