The Tampa Bay Rays have signed Jeff Keppinger to a one-year deal, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports. Keppinger posted a .277 avg in 399 plate appearances for the Houston Astros and San Francisco Giants in 2011.

The San Francisco Giants have acquired Jeff Keppinger from the Astros in exchange for pitchers Henry Sosa and Jason Stoffel, according to the Houston Astros Sr. Director of Social Media Alyson Footer.
Keppinger, 31, is hitting .307/.320/.436 this season with 4 home runs.

According to Alyson Footer, the Astros Sr. Director of Social Media, the Astros have avoided arbitration with Jeff Keppinger by agreeing on a one-year, $2.3 million deal.
Keppinger hit for .288 with 6 HR’s and 59 RBI’s in 514 AB’s with the Astros in 2010.
