    San Diego Padres claim INF Jarrett Hoffpauir off waivers from Blue Jays
    According to the North County Times’ Dan Hayes, the San Diego Padres have claimed infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. To make space on the roster for Hoffpauir, San Diego designated Chris Stewart for assignment. The 27-year-old Hoffpauir hit .206/.250/.235 in 13 games for the Blue Jays this year.
